Malaria fever is caused by single-celled organism called plasmodium that thrives in the red cells of the victim. These parasite spread from one person to another through mosquito bites. The mosquito sucks up the blood of the infected person and injects the blood into another person. As the process continues so does the sickness spread.

SYMPTOMS
-      Chills and headache that come and go.
-      Fever that recur every 2 or 3 days, each lasting 2,3 hours.
-      High temperature
-      Muscular pains
-      Heavy perspiration
-      Loss of appetite
-      Weakness, pale skin

PREVENTION
    A.   Avoid mosquito attacks
    B.   Use mosquito attacks
    C.   Keep the environment clean
   D.   Remove old cans, broken pots, etc from the surroundings. These products at as breeding places for mosquitoes.

TREATMENT
 Formula I
 Materials:
A.   4 yellow pawpaw leaves
B.   30 leaves of Bitter-leaf plant
C.   8 bottles of water

Recipe; squeeze all together in C
 Dosage: 1 glassful thrice daily for 10 days

Formula  II 
Materials:
A.    Ageratum conyzoides
-      English – goat weed.
-      Igbo- akwukwo nwa Osi n’aka or ahenhea
-      Yoruba – Imi-eshu
-      Bini – Eb-ghedore
-      Urhobo – Ikpamaku
-      Efik – Otiti
B.   Water
Recipe:       squeeze the leaves in water. Make it as concentrated as possible.
 Dosage: 1 glassful thrice daily for 5 days


 Formula III

MATERIALS :
A.   Lemon grass leaves
B.   Orange peels
     C.Leaves of morinda lucida
                     English – Brimstone tree
                     Yoruba- oruwo, eruwo
                      Igbo – eze-ogu, njisi
     D.Water
Recipe: bring an equal amount of A,B&C to boil in a medium sized pot for 40 minutes.

Dosage: 1 glass thrice daily for 7 days.

FORMULAR IV
Materials:
Alstonia Bonneei
Common name –stool wood
                 Igbo – Egbu
                 Yoruba- Ahun, Awun
                 Esan – Ojegbuhku
Recipe: bring  to boil with water and allow it to stand for 24 hours.

Dosage: ½ glass thrice daily for 7 days
